The perfect Thanksgiving tablescape

A co-worker asked for my decorating advice. How flattering! Specifically, how to decorate the Thanksgiving table – create a tablescape if you will. If that’s not a real word, it should be.

Anyway, I suggested burlap, pine cones, a hand full of glass ornaments, and a couple of candles. Evidently I’m on to something because Nate Berkus was thinking the exact same thing! He put together this beautiful centerpiece for under $25. See the full tutorial here.

I bet I can do it for less.

Burlap, check! We have at least 30 runners left over from the wedding.
Pine cones, since we haven’t raked yet, I imagine they’re laying all over my yard.
Glass ornaments, finally another use for them!

$25? Pretty sure mine will be $free.99!
