Macarons take the cake

Are macaroons popular because they’re tasty or because they’re so dang cute?

“They’re adorable,” says Angie Dudley, who blogs about baking at and recently took a class on how to make the meringue-based treats from France. “I think it’s just the colors and they’re so uniform, they’re so perfect-looking if you do it right.”

    after cupcakes and anything where chocolate and peanut butter is combined come macaroons! adorable and a fun combination of textures! plus the small ones are so easy to just pop in your mouth and make any day better.

    I’ve actually never eaten a macaroon… it’s almost like they’re too adorable to ruin. I think they’re the cutest little dessert you could possibly have as part of an outdoor wedding 🙂

    I tried making them once. Finky dessert. Humidity… temperature… everything has to be just right. Ugh.

    And you got the part about pops — on a STICK, right? Is 2 1/2 months long enough to master macaron making?
